“I name this collection Fullness Dawns because after every dark there is a dawn. ‘Dawn’ here refers to a becoming rather than a brightening. And ‘fullness’ is not about quantity, but rather a quality of experience, knowing, sensation.
In my sacred solitude, I’ve recognized fullness dawning as a renewed, or remembered, awareness of myself in relationship with life. I’ve seen that the intelligence of a spark of knowing is more potent than eons of abuse on the living body. And then again, the fullness of abuse leaves a whole lot to be transmuted into personal power.
In the poetry of it all, fullness is an alchemical quality.
The choice to alchemize, a dawning.”
Fullness Dawns has been birthed in both the rays of light and the wise, cool shadows of my first poetry collection, her sister, her Ada. She arrived in simplicity, knowing she already had a home being prepared for her Earthside. This collection trusted me to birth from my psychic womb into the physical reality and offered no struggle.
The poetry within the vessel of her book form is soulful and sensual, representing an exploration of subtle eroticism and poetic essence. In writing the poetry over the span of about two years, in collecting the poetry, in editing and morphing the poetry, in omitting some poetry, in designing the book, I was reminded by the very essence of this collection to exist in enjoyment.
The making of this collection taught me to allow pleasure to swim through my heart, my body, my intellectual mind, my intuitive mind, and my artistic vision. Her essence is an expression of my essence, which is an expression of Source.
