On this page are some of my own words, inspired by life, created to inspire life and all its meaningful possibilities into manifestation. Here, you’ll find poetry, nonfiction, creative + experimental nonfiction, short stories, and embodied poetry. Please enjoy.
A story on ancestry…
“We are all blood. We are all the river.
We are breath. We are air.
We are ugly. We are beauty.
We are life. We are God. “
…to allow life and to be blessed by the passage of time.
“Maybe, one day in the future, I will be seated with a soft belly and soft limbs remembering how I played with time when my desire would eat me alive. And I will likely laugh a laugh one laughs when they know themselves too well.”
Blood of this tree
“What does transmutation mean, you ask? […] It is to remain rooted while you die and rise again.”
Poetry in the pain
“Poetry is the multiorgasmic / experience of life, devoid of trying. / It is to sense the rising tide, heart full / with anticipation and mirth and abandonment. / And wild abandon. For nothing can stop the flow.”
Honor the story; honor life.
“If I close my eyes, I see my body, painted in blue luminescence, pulsing excitedly with light and ready to radiate the everythingness of this life, of this love, onto a page. The page will always listen. But let me tell you, dear reader, the page listens when I honor the story. When you honor the story.”
What does it mean to be "love"?
“And so as I reflect on the journal entry that prompted this cognition — and metacognition — I think of love as a kind of knowledge.”
La levedad del ser
“Our friend, the moon / Dances with us / Challenging the dense viscosity of our spirits / To loosen, lengthen, flow / Flow is life.”
What a pleasure
“What a pleasure to transcend the ego, even if only for a bit. / To revel in the pure consciousness of my being; / to explore life in this body / to explore what it means to love in this body…”
